March 24 World Day to Combat Tuberculosis.

2016 – “Tuberculosis is not.”
World Tuberculosis Day. March 24, 1882 Robert Koch made a statement on the opening of the causative agent of tuberculosis -mikobakterii. In 1982, in connection with the centennial anniversary of the opening of the Robert Koch, the World Health Organization and the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease proposed to consider March 24 official World TB Day.

Every day in the world die from tuberculosis around 5000 people. The deadly combination of TB and HIV infection, and spread of multidrug-resistant (MDR) threaten more serious consequences .; tuberculosis incidence rates falling or stabilizing in all regions of the world except Africa and Eastern Europe. Tangible economic effects of tuberculosis, as the majority of TB cases falls on the working-age population.
Tuberculosis and HIV / AIDS is recognized as a country “Group of Eight” summit in Glenigelse in 2005, the global threats that require urgent action. In February 2005, the Director General of the WHO Regional Office officially announced on giving the TB situation in the emergency status of the region and called on WHO Member States to increase the amount of funds allocated to the fight against this disease.
January 27, 2006 in Davos, the World Economic Forum, the official presentation of the Global Plan to Stop TB. The main objectives of the plan are to reduce TB deaths and morbidity, improving the quality of treatment, the introduction of social support.
It is necessary to more actively involve the population in the common cause – contain the spread of tuberculosis infection. This means attracting people to consciously participate in the protection against the disease. Knowledge of the transmission of tuberculosis infection and its manifestations are necessary to each person, each family, because timely response can prevent not only the transmission of infections, but also the development of the disease. In recent years there has been impressive progress in the way of progress towards global goals to reduce the number of TB cases and deaths from it: TB deaths worldwide fell by more than 40% compared with 1990 levels, the incidence is also reduced. New tools for TB control, such as rapid diagnostic tests, helping to transform the response to the disease.
But the global burden remains enormous, and the problem is still significant: in 2011, it is estimated that occurred 8.7 million new TB cases and 1.4 million deaths from TB;
more than 95% of deaths from TB occur in low- and middle-income countries. Most suffer from poor communities and vulnerable groups, but this transmitted airborne disease is a danger to all people;
TB is among the top three causes of death for women aged 15-44 years;
it is estimated that in 2011 there was 0.5 million cases and 64,000 deaths among children;
in the fight against TB multidrug-resistant (MDR-TB) is making slow progress: the end of 2011 of 60,000 patients received treatment – it is only one fifth of registered TB patients who are estimated to have MDR-TB; to implement the WHO recommendations for the immediate provision of antiretroviral therapy (APT) for all patients with TB who have HIV, the extent provided by APT in such patients must be doubled; and
the pace of advancement of the African and European regions to the goal of reducing TB mortality doubled in the period 1990 – 2015 gg. It is not enough to achieve it.
The purpose of the event: To reduce tuberculosis among children, prevention of tuberculosis, increase knowledge on TB, healthy lifestyles, improving the medical culture
Organizers of the event: the Tashkent City Institute for Health and honey. Statistically, the Tashkent City TB Dispensary and the city children’s tuberculosis sanatorium.
Together: National Institute for Health and med.statistike, Department of Tuberculosis of the Tashkent Medical Academy, the World Health Organization, ODM “Camelot” and foreign companies medical profile.
The event participants were presented with gifts, grammoty the organizers of today’s event.
